Always-on vs. auto-pick skills

Choose whether a skill is always active or picked automatically when relevant — and how to force one.

Skills can work two ways, depending on how often you want them applied.

Always-on skills

An always-on skill is applied every time. Use this for rules you always want followed — like a brand voice or a formatting standard.

Auto-pick skills

An auto-pick skill stays out of the way until it's relevant, then Flotira brings it in automatically. Use this for skills tied to specific tasks. Auto-pick skills need a clear description so Flotira knows when to use them.

Forcing a skill for one task

Want to make sure a specific skill is used right now? You can force it for a single turn from the chat, so Flotira applies it to your next request.
