You can upload files to a project and then ask the AI to work with them — summarize a PDF, analyze a spreadsheet, describe an image, and more.
How to upload a file
- Open a project from the sidebar
- Click the Upload button in the project's file area
- Select your file from your computer
- Wait for the upload to finish — you'll see it appear in the file list
Supported file types
- Documents — PDF, Word (.docx), plain text (.txt)
- Spreadsheets — Excel (.xlsx), CSV
- Images — JPG, PNG, WebP
- Markdown — .md files
File size limit
Files must be under 5MB. If your file is larger, try splitting it or compressing it first.
How to use an uploaded file in chat
Once a file is in your project, just mention it in the chat:
"Summarize the PDF I uploaded" "Look at the spreadsheet and tell me which month had the highest revenue" "What does the contract say about termination clauses?"
Flotira will find the file and use it to answer your question.
Common issues
File won't upload? Check the file size — it must be under 5MB. Also make sure you're inside a project (not just the general chat) before uploading.
AI can't find my file? Make sure you uploaded it to the correct project, and that you're chatting from inside that same project.
